Creative beginnings

Creative beginnings

Creative Beginnings run professional weekend tuition at the home of British film and television: Pinewood Studios, just outside of London. We provide creative and performance educational tuition in Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television for children and young adults from 6 – 16 years. Each session lasts three hours and students rotate every hour to experience all three disciplines of Drama Musical Theatre and Film.

Our classes are kept small to ensure every student receives the individual attention they deserve. With a maximum of ten per class, every student receives the equivalent of 15 minutes one-to-one tuition because our class numbers are kept to a minimum. This allows our specialist and industry professional teachers to become completely familiar with your child’s talents and needs and provides the support required to fulfill their potential. There is enough time for the teacher to adapt classes to cater for every student and they have the skills to provide them with an exceptional creative platform to begin their journey into the industry.

The best teachers always know that successful learning depends on involvement; finding ways that make the process as enjoyable as it does the impact lasting. All of us can remember past teachers who made the learning experience a fun journey.

Our unique educational framework for each age group helps students reach their full potential in a fun and supportive environment. We will teach them everything they need to know to act, dance, sing or direct to become a professional or just to increase confidence!

We realise it can be daunting when starting something new, therefore we operate a buddy system. New students are paired with a buddy from their class who will help them and make them feel comfortable throughout their first session. The buddy system is also extended for the older students so every new student feels instantly welcomed as they become a Creative Beginner.

Students will train at one of the world’s leading destinations for Film and Television and be at the home of some of the most popular blockbuster film locations, such as James Bond, Star Wars, Beauty and the Beast and the remake of Mary Poppins. They can proudly say their academy is located within the hubbub of Pinewood Studios.

Join us for initial training for a future career in the arts, to build life skills, or just for fun every weekend! And if you want a small, unique and fun-filled, welcoming environment where your child instantly becomes a member of our family choose Creative Beginnings!

We provide exceptional tuition that will not only serve students if they wish to pursue a career in stage or film but will also equip them with some invaluable life skills. We inspire confidence, nurture talent and maximise communication skills, all whilst having fun in a range of classes.

We will give our students the creative courage to embrace life and they will experience a variety of mediums so they have a breadth of knowledge to become a star. We believe every child is already a star; they just need to learn to hold their own spotlight in order to shine like a diamond!

Productions and Events

Creative Beginnings offers at least one large-scale performance opportunity per year for an invited audience of family and friends. This gives the students a great opportunity to show off their hard work and commitment made during the year. It is an exciting day for students and parents at a prestigious venue. The production might be specially devised or scripted, combine each class discipline or focus on one art form and performance style.

Of course this is as well as our annual cinema screening where students get to walk along a red carpet and watch themselves on the big screen.

Specialist Masterclasses

We want our students to experience first-class tuition like they would nowhere else. For this reason, at no additional cost, we invite industry professionals from film, television and West End shows to visit the students and share their specialist skills.

Open Evenings

At Creative Beginnings we want you to know exactly how your child is progressing and at what rate they are developing. Every year we hold an open evening for parents and guardians who wish to make an appointment with the Principal. This gives you the knowledge on how you can support and encourage your child’s work. We love to watch your child progress and this is something you should be involved in!
