Course leader David Brown was born and raised in London. Initially training in costume, pattern cutting and fabrication he worked in fashion and the wardrobe departments in the West End on shows such as Dirty Dancing and Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
After several years working in costume, he retrained into special effects makeup with Stuart Bray and has worked on several features and TV series such as Thor, Guardians of the Galaxy and Game of Thrones whilst keeping a hand in theatre at English National Opera, the Royal Opera House and the National Theatre. David is currently working as an fx artist on Star Wars: Episode IX.
His skills include mould making, special effects makeup, tailoring, wig making, creature/puppet creation and sculpting.
Having had experience in a number of fields David has a wide range of skills which he applies as designer and artist on film sets and has an in-depth knowledge of the running of both the wardrobe and makeup departments.
