The British Film Institute recognise in their recent Future Film Skills report that there will be more than 30,000 new opportunities in the screen sector over the next 5 years, and they have made clear the important responsibility that the industry has to future proof the transferring of knowledge to the next generation of international crew. Meet the Team…
Ailie enjoyed a successful 16-year global career in the film industry with credits including some of the biggest grossing British films of all time, such as Harry Potter, Prince of Persia, Troy and Cold Mountain. Ailie attended the 2016 Oscars and BAFTAs as part of the award-winning makeup team on Mad Max; Fury Road. Ailie is also a BAFTA-nominated producer in her first time producing role of short film Mouth of hell.
Recognising a gap for working professionals to pass on knowledge and expertise when not on set, Ailie incorporated Creative Media Skills in 2012. Now based in the heart of Pinewood Studios, existing professionals and beginners alike come from all over the world to benefit from the specialist knowledge passed on by the legends of the industry who are invited to Creative Media Skills to nurture and support the next generation – something Ailie is very passionate about.
Ailie is the vice chair of the BTVLEP skills and employability board and chair of the BTVLEP creative industries sector action group.
After graduating from the University of Southampton, Claire started a successful career leading administration and operations for a CSR consulting organisation. Claire then joined the education sector in 2010 managing a well-renowned music academy in Brighton.
After moving back to Berkshire in 2011, Claire joined Aspen Worldwide, a global leader in executive search and leadership development, heading up the operations team and going on to become Chief of Staff in 2015.
As Managing Director, Claire runs the successful running and evolution of CMS acting as a central point of contact and continuously seeking to review ways and means to improve the services we deliver.
As Director International Operations, Facundo oversees the management and development of our international training courses run by Creative Media Skills.
Prior to joining us, and while completing his BFA in TV and Film production, Facundo gained over 8 years of experience in the International Audiovisual Industry as UPM & AD.
Facundo joined CMS in 2014, and after working for three years from our Pinewood HR, he now manages the successful expansion of CMS operations across the globe.
Estefanía Veira graduated from the University of Film in Buenos Aires after studying Film & TV at The Centre of Film Investigation in Argentina. She also studied Screenwriting at The University of Texas and is an award-winning Novelist. Estefania was presented ‘Best Director’ in her role in directing a short film at the Kyiv International short film festival in addition to, ‘Best short film’ at Ahoi Film Festival.
Since moving to the UK, Estefania worked in talent management and casting for over three years before joining Creative Media Skills as the Studio and Course Manager in 2016.
After finishing Performing Arts school Redroofs Theatre School, Cassie moved to London and started a career in the music industry working for Columbia Records.
Over the years Cassie has continued to work in the hospitality and events industry, before having her little girl in 2012. Cassie then took time out to devote herself to raising Daisy until she started school in Sept 2016.
Cassie joined our team in October 2016 as Course Coordinator and has fast become a part of the CMS family running courses, problem solving and making participants and tutors feel at ease.
After graduating from West Thames College, Louise became a freelance hair and makeup artist working on various projects and events in and around London.
